The primary survey exists because trauma kills in a known order: airway before breathing before circulation, treating as you find. One patient, one decision per letter, and the question every trauma call ends with, theatre, scanner, or neither?

Motorcycle versus car, 40 mph

Pre-alert: 28-year-old motorcyclist, hit at speed, GCS 14 at scene, tachycardic, complaining of right chest and pelvis pain. Two minutes out. The team assembles, roles assigned, blood on standby.
